Happy Saturday, friends! That’s right. It’s the week-END! And you can bet you’ll find me in this oh-so cozy sweatshirt dress ALL day long.
When it comes to weekend wear, it’s all about comfort. As most weekends go, it’s my time to catch up on errands and explore new places while unwinding from the week’s stresses. Needless to say, the weekend has a lot to live up to in my life. 🙂 So when I’m hustling and bustling around town, I like to keep things simple and comfortable and no fuss.
With the athleisure trend sweeping the fashion world by storm, I thought what better time to try it out for myself? Cute, comfortable kicks and soft, breathable fabrics as stylish? Sign. Me. Up.
So last weekend when Allen and I headed out to explore Denver, I knew this super soft sweatshirt dress was the perfect piece to wear out and about on our errands. I love that it has all the comforts of my favorite, most worn sweatshirt, while its longer dress length lends it to being a more chic option than sweatpants.
I added in some edgier leather details, like these fresh, faux leather slip-on sneakers and my new favorite studded leather clutch to keep things from veering too ‘just got out of bed’. And since it was a little cooler this past weekend, I paired everything with a wrap-around cable knit scarf that kept me nice and warm in the cool spring breeze, while still allowing me to sport bare legs this early in the season. A win-win, really.
Cute, comfortable, and easy to put together. Simply put? I’ve definitely become a fan of the athleisure trend. So don’t be surprised if you see more of it to come as spring approaches.
Plus, what’s a little extra motivation to get you moving than living in your cute workout clothes all weekend long? No more excuses remain, right? 😉
What about you? Have you tried the athleisure trend yet? I’d love to know how you work it into your weekly outfit regime.

March 13, 2016 at 1:56 pmI am having a love hate relationship with the slip on sneaker trend. I think I am starting to slip more into the love zone. Especially with the dress. Its the best of both worlds.

April 4, 2016 at 1:26 pmHi Sara! I definitely see where you are coming from. I think for me, slip on sneakers have to fit great for me to love them too. There’s nothing worse than getting blisters from your heel slipping all the time. And I definitely still wear little no show socks with my shoes to keep them from getting sweaty. Let me know if you try them out and what you think! Thanks for stopping by, girl!
