This past weekend was epic. Allen and I traveled to Austin, TX and had such a blast!! It was one of those perfect vacations where you see everything you want to see but at a pace that isn’t exhausting. I usually try to pack in as much sight-seeing and eating (#foodie) as possible when I travel, but this weekend we did a good job of taking it easy and remembering to smell the roses along the way. Let’s just say our nap game was strong, friends. I’m planning to do a full recap of our time in Austin, sharing all of our favorite spots, but until then, here are a few of my favorite snaps from the weekend.
As for this weekend….I am taking a break. Kristin is le tired. After back-to-back-to-back-to-back (you get the idea) weekends of exploring Houston and traveling all over the U.S., I’m planning to take it easy and enjoy a traditional weekend here in town. The plan is to get caught up on sleep, laundry, and some blog posts I’ve had in the queue for quite some time now. What about you? Have any big plans for the weekend? I’d love to know in the comments below.
— The best breakfast tacos in Austin. —
— Kayaking on Lady Bird Lake was a highlight of our trip. —
— Stopping to relax at Spider House Cafe with a game of dominoes and chips + guacamole. —
— This hike-to water spot was perfection. {also, finally perfected a front braid!} —
— A favorite find of our trip–Bananarchy. —
— Waiting for 4th of July fireworks at Miller Outdoor Theater with my love. —
