Happy Thursday, friends! I’m back today with another fun fall outfit that finds its roots in bright primary colors–namely red, yellow, and blue!
Fall is my favorite season, partially because of all the rich colors that seemingly come out of the woodwork. And more and more I find my wardrobe mimicking the colors of the changing leaves.
So when I saw this fun yellow dress at Old Navy, I knew I needed to add it to my fall line up immediately.
I love that this dress is super rich in color, but also complimented by a pretty, delicate white floral print too. It makes the fabric feel light and fresh, and a bit bohemian. I love it!
For me, putting outfits together can be hit or miss. Sometimes it takes trial and error. And other times it happens almost immediately. This outfit here was one of those rare gems that just happened and happened perfectly in my opinion.
I can’t explain why, but as soon as I put on this yellow dress, I knew I wanted to pair it with my cobalt blue felt hat. It’s just such a playful pairing isn’t it?! Sometimes my outfits can feel so serious, so I like mixing in a hat or other fun accessory from time to time that keeps things fresh and fun.
And with a yellow and blue outfit, it was almost a no-brainer to add in this pretty beaded red necklace from my mom (a Tulsa boutique find). I love how the fringe tassel moves as you walk and mimics the flowy-ness of the dress flawlessly. Also, with chokers all the rage right now, this red suede choker would look darling too!
As for shoes, I’m rockin’ my favorite pair of booties once again. When I talked about them here the last time, I failed to mention that they come in THREE different colors. When the shoe fits, you buy one in every color. Right?! That’s always been my motto at least.
So naturally, I have them in the pretty beige color from this post, the beautiful olive color seen here, and the black pair as well. Old Navy also just came out with a black pair that has the radest studded heel too!!! How cute for date night or the holidays?! I mean…the addiction continues I suppose.
I also accessorized this look with my favorite watch for fall. I love how the wood look is so natural and earthy. It brings out the brightest colors of fall around you!
For my watch, I picked the Fieldcrest Series in Zebrawood and Maple–I just loved the wood on wood aesthetic. But they also have wooden watches with colored faces–my personal favorite being the Frankie Series in Dark Sandalwood and Emerald. I love that the emerald color reminds me of the sweet smelling evergreen trees in the forest when we go camping. It takes me straight to my happy place!
And if you didn’t hear about it in my last post, I’ve teamed up with JORD Wood Watches to give one lucky winner $75 off of their very own wooden watch! And it gets better, friends, because every entrant automatically gets a $20 coupon just for entering. Such an amazing deal you won’t want to miss out on! You can enter the contest right HERE. (I’ve also added a link in my sidebar underneath my social media icons. Just click on the picture of the watch.)

We actually shot these photos just last weekend while we were running errands out and about. When we saw this street in Boulder lined with beautiful fallen leaves we just had to stop and take some pictures.
The best part about it was romping around in the leaves without a care in the world. I felt like I was five years old again–and so so happy! Allen was able to capture some really cute shots of the moment and they’ve turned out to be some of my favorites to date! (#instagramhusband, or maybe #bloggerboyfriend haha!)
I’m really excited about fall, y’all. Ha! SO HAPPY!
And there’s always at least one leaf that has a mind of its own…I don’t even care though! Love fall and love all these leaves!
What about you? Do you like to mimic the colors of fall in your wardrobe?
