Happy hump day, friends! There’s nothing like realizing you are halfway to the weekend. No?
Like we discussed in this post, I love color. There is just something about wearing vibrant pieces that instantly brightens my mood and puts me into my happy place. Wouldn’t you agree?
Well this skirt and pump combo is no exception! The green skirt is much brighter than I am used to wearing–it’s neon in the truest meaning of the word. So I decided to pair it with a more neutral navy striped shirt. The cotton material and looser fit of the top also serves to relax the outfit a bit more for casual wearing. And this necklace was just too perfect not to wear with this ensemble, right? Confession, this necklace is actually where I got my inspiration. Who would’ve thought navy and neon went so well together?!
I added in coral pumps and lips for a contrasting pop of color. The result is an unexpected combination that is quirky and fun. As a coordinating piece, this Aztec-inspired clutch ties in all the colors together with a unique pattern that makes these individual elements look as though they were meant for each other.
Add a little twirl to complete the ensemble and you are ready for an awesome day! Sometimes a little happy is all it takes to complete a look.
How better to show your love of life than with bright colors and a big smile? Have a bright and cheerful Wednesday!
