Good morning and happy Friday, friends!
I’ve always loved the look of vintage fabrics, but have never been able to find a good place to get them. (If you’ve got suggestions in the Boulder/Denver area, I’d love to know!) When Emily launched her new clothing line this summer, with this romper as one of her favorite pieces, I knew it was the perfect balance of vintage-feel with updated sophistication.
I love that the base color is navy–the color version of black in my book. And we know how much I love color. The flowers are the prettiest pale pink, which makes the look soft and feminine.
I wanted to bring out these soft, feminine features so I paired the ensemble with a pale blush clutch and nude sandals. To make the look appropriate for a date night, I added some bling with this bracelet and the prettiest crystal headband, which adds just the right amount of sparkle.
Rompers are also a new-to-me trend. I love that they have the ease of a one-piece outfit, but are a bit more structured than a dress. It gives the illusion of a more polished look without the effort, don’t you think?
How about you? Do you have any favorite vintage or vintage-looking pieces? I’d love to know how you style them.
