Red on Red for Valentine’s Day

Happy Wednesday, friends! And here’s to another day celebrating Valentine’s week here on the blog!

Today I am continuing the Valentine’s inspiration with a fun little casual outfit in the color palette I’ll be living in all week long–RED!

I don’t usually put together monochromatic outfits, but Valentine’s Day is just too perfect a time not to pick one shade of pink or red and go a little overboard with it. Don’t ya think? I mean, who doesn’t love a little cheese on this holiday, right?! (<– I was the girl in middle school wearing this crazy heart headband to all my classes. Currently thinking I might need to upgrade to this darling one! But I digress.)

I actually picked up this red scoop neck tee and these red skinny jeans while I was in Dallas this past weekend. And while I bought each to wear separately (I think these jeans would look fantastic with a striped tee in the summer), I just couldn’t resist pairing them together. The red on red turned out perfectly for Valentine’s week, when all I want to do is be mushy and gushy in love.

Keeping with the fifty the shades of red theme, I added in my favorite red heels and cheesy heart sunglasses to give this outfit a little bit of #hearteyes vibes (quite literally). And to be frank with you, these sunglasses are more than a Valentine’s Day gag for me. They’re actually my go-to shades on lazy day road trips into the mountains or even for errand shopping on the weekends. I’ll just say, they have a way of bringing out the fun in any situation!

To finish off my casual Valentine’s look with a little extra pop, I added my favorite pink crossbody purse and all the love-inspired jewelry I own.
