The Little Things

Happy Friday, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Little Things post, but I feel like it’s time to bring ’em back! If you’re new around here, these posts are all about inspiring us to enjoy the simple moments that make our week, and ultimately our life, so amazing! It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily jobs and lives, but remembering to cherish the little things can really help to put everything into perspective.

This week was a good one! Last weekend we stopped by the Boulder farmers market for a fresh lunch in the grass. I tried out the Gyro place for the first time (I got the chicken gyro) and LOVED it! Tzatziki is just the best! We also went to a retirement BBQ for a few of Allen’s coworkers. I had so much fun meeting all of his work friends and enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon outside. (ULA doesn’t allow site visits for security reasons, so this was my first opportunity to meet everyone!)

I also was invited to the Grand Opening of the new West Elm in Boulder (Twenty Ninth Street Mall) on Wednesday, and was instantly smitten with every piece of furniture and decor they had–especially all the maroon, blush, and sparkly pieces for the holidays!

Thursday evening I met up with another Denver blogger in the RiNo Arts District and already can’t wait to get together with her again! She’s a middle school science teacher, so we had lots to talk about!

This weekend, Allen and I are headed to our first Avalanche NHL game in Denver! I’m so so excited!! I’m also planning to take Allen and Conor to this spot over the weekend for some nice, casual outdoor dining while the weather is still so nice. As for Halloween on Monday (can you believe it’s already here?!), Allen and I will be laying low and eating ALL the candy while we watch Hocus Pocus and other classically Halloween movies. Can’t wait!
