This past week was a busy one, friends, especially in the sports department! Allen and I had the opportunity to go to our very first Colorado Avalanche NHL game on Friday. And although our seats were in the nose bleed section, we had so much fun and even splurged on a chocolate malt at Five Guys beforehand. Today we had a blast cheering on the Colorado Rapids as they beat the LA Galaxy in the MLS Western Conference Playoffs. It was such an exciting game and even went through overtime and into PK’s! I also tried a churro for the first time ever, which was pretty darn amazing.
Other than supporting our Colorado sports team this week, we had a leisurely Saturday with Conor at one of my new favorite weekend spots (last mentioned here). It was the perfect fall day spent outside with good food (**mac-and-cheese crusted fried chicken**…yeah) and even better company.
As for Halloween on Monday, we kept things low key and watched all our favorite Halloween classics with a giant bowl of candy in front of us. It was the perfect way to spend the spooky holiday in our opinions.
After so much fun…believe it or not, I’m actually pretty excited to start this next week and to make it a productive one. Sometimes all you need is a little weekend R&R to get in the swing of things during the work week. Here’s to a happy week, friends! And a few of the little things that brightened my week…
— Feeling very fall in burnt sienna, a plaid skirt, and suede booties. —
— Our first Colorado Avalanche NHL game. —
— A leisurely weekend spent outdoors with the best of friends.–
— Halloween Night Line-up: Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, and ALL the candy. —
— My first churro (ever!) at the Colorado Avalanche MLS Playoffs. —
