With the beginning of a new year, I like to reflect on all the milestones and achievements of the previous year. So today I’m sharing with you my favorite blog posts of 2016 and highlighting some of the most fun adventures we’ve ever been on. Thank you so much for following along on this journey with me!

January
In January…We traveled to Breckenridge for our annual family ski trip, I shared Five Ways to Stay Healthful in the New Year, and I attended my first blogging conference! Plus I had a girls weekend in Dallas with Susan! I also talked about choosing happiness in the new year.

In February…I shared a fun DIY Valentine’s Day Care Package, I baked my all-time favorite Red Velvet Cupcakes, and I discovered the best juice bar/coffee shop in Boulder. I also talked about putting together the perfect outfit for a blogging conference.

In March…I shared What to Wear on a Graduate School Visit for prospective students, I went to my first Alaska Aces hockey game with Allen, and we went on a road trip through Utah and Montana. I also shared What To Pack for a Road Trip.

In April…I shared What to Wear on a Road Trip, we spent A Day at the Denver Zoo with Conor, I baked Lavender Earl Gray Tea Cupcakes, and I talked about How to Mix Patterns effortlessly. We also had a fun date night at an awesome pizza joint in Boulder, and I tried out the Boho Chic trend.

In May…I baked Chocolate Espresso Cupcakes for finals week, we celebrated Memorial day with family in Tulsa, and I started my sixth work tour at NASA in Houston. I also shared one of my most-colorful work wear posts to date!

In June…I celebrated my birthday with Reflections and Goals, I baked colorful Funfetti Birthday Cupcakes, and I explored downtown Houston with Conor. I also had a blast reuniting with my Kappa Delta sisters for weekly dinners!

In July…I visited Allen in Colorado and went to my first Rockies game, we took a long 4th of July weekend in Austin, TX, and I talked about Finding a Summertime Balance. I also baked a scrumptious Triple Berry Cupcake and talked about my journey Going Plant-Based. I spent the last two weekends exploring Second Saturdays in Houston and going to my first Red Rocks Concert in Colorado.

August
In August…I spent my last weekend in Houston for the summer, I shared Five Things To Do Before School Starts, and perhaps most exciting of all…I wrote a feature article for Boulder Lifestyle Magazine. The article covered my favorite spots to visit in Lousiville, CO, including the freshest breakfast, the sweetest ice cream, the most unique vintage shop, and the most community-centered brewery.

In September…I took my Ph.D. Qualifying exams, we went Camping in Lost Creek Wilderness, and took the scenic route to Aspen. I also crushed all the items on my Fall Bucket List, including this plaid on plaid look.

October
In October…I spent a leisurely weekend on Pearl Street, I shared my Favorite Farmers Market Picks, and we carved the perfect pumpkins for Halloween. I also collaborated with JORD Wood Watches in my first giveaway! Later in the month, Allen and I went on our second camping adventure in North Crestone and then we visited another world. I was also invited to the grand opening of West Elm in Boulder and celebrated my 1 Year Blogiversary by sharing the Top 10 Lessons I’ve Learned.

November
In November…I shared a recap of the Houston Fine Arts and Natural Science Museums, as well as What To Wear To A Museum. Allen and I supported all the Denver sports teams in one weekend and we took a road trip through Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride. I also hosted SPACE WEEK, including posts on How To Use A Star Chart, What is a Planet?, and my experience as a NASA Co-Op. I capped off the week with an out-of-this-world Galaxy Cupcake recipe.

In December…I talked about my excitement for the premiere of Gilmore Girls, I took the 25 Days of Health Challenge, and shared my new favorite color obsession–turquoise and yellow. I also talked about The Perfect Date Night Look for fall. As the holidays approached, I shared my go-to Travel Style essentials and my favorite Christmas Eve traditions, as well as a few sparkly New Years Eve looks too.
