While Tuesday’s New Years Eve look was all about comfort (albeit with a statement), today’s look is all about the sparkle and glitz! I’ll be traveling somewhere special on NYE this year, but this blush pink and sequin look is the one I’d wear if I had a fancy party to attend.
It’s no secret that I love a sweet blush pink and white look. So this year, I took the traditional edgy black + sequin look NYE is known for and gave it a sweeter blush spin that is modern and fresh.
I paired a delicate pink lace cami with a classic white boyfriend blazer, and of course a stellar sequin mini skirt. Because it just wouldn’t be NYE without some sparkle, right?!
The key to styling a boyfriend length blazer is all in the proportions. The longer length of the jacket means you want to pair it with pieces that are on either extreme–either a mini skirt that sits above the knees or long trousers with elongating heels. A pencil skirt or midi skirt will make the outfit look oversized and sloppy.
But pairing the right pieces with a boyfriend jacket can serve to be slimming, while giving the whole look a casual cool vibe that is effortlessly chic. I especially love the cuffed details of this blazer.
And what NYE look would be complete without a pair of sparkly heels that glimmer as you walk?!
I paired the look with an oversized clutch and a crystal pave bracelet for the perfect classy finishing touches.
It’s the perfectly sweet and sparkly look for a glitzy New Years Eve celebration.
What about you? Do you have a favorite sparkly piece to wear on NYE?
